Alfies cannot assume liability for parcels that are lost or damaged. We entrust the delivery of all our parcels to the courier service (Pudo), and once we dispatch your parcel, the onus shifts to the carrier for its safe and timely delivery.

It’s imperative that you verify the accuracy of all details during checkout, as we cannot bear responsibility for delivery errors stemming from incorrect information.


Each item is meticulously crafted by hand, and while we strive to maintain uniformity, you may notice minor variations in both length and color.

Our commitment to you is that all our items are pet-friendly, non-toxic, and built for durability. Your pet’s safety is our top priority.

We kindly ask customers to assess the suitability and wear of our products. Alfies cannot assume liability for any injuries or damages resulting from the use of our products.

Please be aware that our accessories are not designed to be chew-proof, so it’s essential to keep them out of reach or under supervision when in use.


Once your order has been placed, a mere 24 hours later, we are unable to accommodate any modifications or cancellations for custom items. This constraint arises from the fact that our artisans initiate the handcrafting process promptly.

We kindly request your consideration when making a purchase from a small business. Crafting your items entails considerable time and effort, and last-minute cancellations pose challenges. We ask that you shop mindfully, ensuring that your selections are indeed what you require.


Items that are custom-made or personalized, as well as those that are designed by you, fall under the category of non-refundable.

This policy extends to items such as all biothane accessories, leads, bow ties, collars, dresses and anything custom printed as all our creations are handcrafted and nothing is pre-made.

However, for non-custom items like harnesses, leashes, bow ties, and collars that are available on the website, we gladly accept returns or exchanges in the event of faults or sizing errors.

Please note that we do not permit returns or exchanges for items on sale.

Should you have any questions or concerns regarding your order, please adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Get in touch with us within a 7-day window from the date of purchase.
  • Return the item(s) to us within 14 days.

To facilitate a successful return, please ensure that the item(s) are in the same condition as when they were initially purchased. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless the item is determined to be faulty.


Exchanges for non-custom handmade products are welcome. It’s important to note that the buyer is responsible for covering the shipping costs associated with returning the item to us, as well as the shipping costs for the reshipment, unless the item is found to be faulty. We strongly advise you to review the size chart prior to making your purchase.


All velvet, cotton and sparkle collection items take 5 to 7 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your proof of payment or the confirmation email that your order is being processed. 

Custom orders can take anything from 10 – 21 business days.

Biothane lead time may take 4-12 business days.

FlexiPatch collars lead time may take 4-12 business days.

Tuxedo’s lead time may take 7-14 business days.

Courier delivery is normally 2-5 business days (Depending on where you are located)

Potential delays might occur due to a high volume of orders over Festive Season however you will be informed incase of any delay.


We use Yoco, Payfast and Payflex systems for online payments in our store.

Quickly and easily pay for your order immediately after placing it. The whole operation is performed through a secure online portal, and the system operates the payments of all the major banks in South Africa.


The Courier Guy (Pudo) – All orders will be delivered to your door

We offer R70 flat rate all over South Africa

Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from The Courier Guy which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available. 

If you haven’t received your order within 4 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.

Potential delays might occur due to a high volume of orders over Festive Season, however if you have not received your parcel within 5 days please contact us.

In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible at with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition. We address these on a case-by-case basis but will try our best to work towards a satisfactory solution.


Local Pickup will only be available from Loevenstein, Bellville. We will email you to get in touch with us via WhatsApp and advice on a time and date for collection.

Please note we have dedicated time slots for collection however this will be advised via WhatsApp.
